Mariannita Luzzati looks at landscape through the filter of reverie. Initially she spends time observing the real world, and measuring it against preconceptions. Her researches then become the raw material for the transforming act of her art. In her paintings she journeys in immagination beyond appearances, into a more profoundly personal truth. Her images have all the seduction of dream, counterpoised by a passionate but thoughtful interpretation of reality.
